2.Charles Kwadwo Oppong-Managing Partner and Team Leader for Consultancy

Charles works with The HRBIC LTD as a Managing Partner. Charles Kwadwo Oppong is a Chartered Banker, Chartered Accountant, an Economist, Lecturer and Management Consultancy over 22 years. He was experience in Merchant, Retail, Commercial, Universal, Rural Banking and Microfinance. He has over 9 years of experience in Project Management, Research, Business Plan Development, Proposal Writing, Feasibility Studies, Credit Risk Management, Auditing, Financial Management, Product Development, Marketing, Corporate Planning, Budgeting, Client Satisfaction Surveys and Loan Officers Incentive Schemes, Training and many more.

He currently previously worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Volta Ghana Investment Limited in charge of mortgage development, land and property valuation, development of Annual Programme of Work, Budget and Strategic Plans for Volta Ghana Investment Company.

Prior to working with the Volta Ghana Investment Limited, Charles was the Head of Research and Training for the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He conducted analysis on economic policy, political and regulatory issues of interest to the banking industry and works closely with the major stakeholders such as the Bank of Ghana, Ministry of Finance, Ghana Association of Bankers, Rural Banks and Microfinance Institutions. Among other things, he represented the Institute’s interest at relevant conferences and seminars, prepared position papers, generated market intelligence reports, analyses monetary, fiscal policies and national budget and its implication on the banking industry. He worked as a facilitator for the Institute and National Banking College and was responsible for training FBN Bank, UMB, First Atlantic Bank, Apex Bank, Stanbic Bank, CAL, Zenith Bank, in credit risk management, banking operations, ethics and professionalism, bank sustainability, treasury management, deposit mobilization, among others.

He developed and institutionalized three Bulletins for the Institute: The Monthly Economic Bulletin, The CIB Quarterly Research Bulletin and CIB Quarterly Banking Industry Report to discuss the economic and banking issues of interest and to contribute to knowledge. He has been involved in three principal national economic reforms in Ghana over the past two years. On the broader economy, he was part of the Technical Group that worked with the Ministry of Trade and Industry/World Bank, the Registrar-General and Bank of Ghana on how to reduce the cost of doing business in Ghana as well as how to make credit affordable to SMEs, individuals and Companies. A critical component of the project was to review the banking and collateral registration laws to make them relevant to our contemporary situation. He prepared Board, Executive Committee and Education Committee papers, prepare speeches for the President and CEO. He was responsible for developing the Annual Training Plan, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Plan, prepared training proposals and conduct presentations within the banks on behalf of the Institute. He was appointed as a reviewer of journals on economics, banking and finance for the African Development Bank, la cote d’ivoire, from  2017 to date. He worked with The Chartered Institute of Bankers as a Lecturer for Quantitative Methods for Decision Making for seven years.

He is also the CEO of Providence Centre for Management Consultancy and Training, a management consultancy firm in Ghana. He has been consulting for public and private sector companies in the areas of developing business plans and proposals, feasibility studies, building econometric models for local and international companies such as the pharmaceutical, transport, oil and gas companies, Banks, Savings And Loans Companies etc.

He provided Consultancy Services to the United Nations in August 2015 on Girls Education Project to help reduce school dropout and teenage pregnancy rates in Adakru in the Volta Region of Ghana. He also consulted for Vodafone Ghana in Mobile Banking and Debt Management. He built an econometric model for Cargill Ghana to streamline its transportation and haulage business nationwide. He similarly worked as a project consultant for MTN Lonestar, Liberia to develop a proposal to raise funds to build a solar farm. He similarly undertook stock and fraud audit for ANFD International, an international logistics and marketing company operating in Ghana to verify 2,000,000, pieces of Aloe Vera Products that were sold in Ghana and came out with recommendations on how to reduce fraud and improve its operations. He was also employed as the Managing Director for Metropolitan Savings and Loans to grow the loan book in an effort to improve access to micro loans to help alleviate poverty.

He equally conducted an audit into the Operations of Union Oil Ghana, an oil marketing Company in Ghana with 107 branches to identify cases of theft, fraud and leakages in revenue.

He similarly worked with Dominion University College as the Lecturer for Quantitative Methods, Research Methods ,Cost Accounting, Banking Operations, Treasury Management, Investment and Portfolio Management, International Trade Finance, Credit Management, Rural Banking & Microfinance, The Monetary & Economic System, Financial Modelling, Practice of Banking and Development Banking.

He rose to become the Head of Department of Banking & Finance. At the Dominion University College, Charles was also the Director of Consultancy Services and Executive Training Programme as well. Over the years, Charles has been working as a mentoring & coaching specialist for research/quantitative methods for thesis writing for HND, undergraduates, post graduates and doctoral students in the universities of Ghana and beyond. He has been selected as an external supervisor for Ghanaian students in a number of International Universities including University of Surrey, University of Warwick, University of Guyana, University of East London, Maastricht School of Business, Paris, Texila University, University of Coventry, University of Pretoria and University of Johannesburg.

Between 2010 and 2013, he worked with the UNAIDS as the National Project Manager  to develop proposals to raise funds to mitigate the socio-economic impact of HIV on the Ghanaian population. He worked with multiple Donors such as Global Fund, UNAIDS, World Food Programme, World Education, UNDP, the Ghana AIDS Commission, Family Health International, USAID, Care International, Ministry of Health, World Bank, Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and DANIDA to promote and develop income generating activities (projects) for about 300,000 Ghanaians who were living with HIV. He won the UNDP Essay Writing Competition on Innovative ways of combating HIV/AIDS and poverty alleviation in Africa in 2011. He consulted for the International Council for AIDS Service Organization (ICCASO) in New York to review Ghana’s Analytical Framework for Universal Access to Treatment in Ghana in 2010 and accordingly developed an advocacy plan for achieving universal access to treatment by 2015.

He also worked as the Chief Finance Officer of API Investments, an investment advisory and fund management firm from January to August 2016, responsible for budgeting, financial management, internal control and preparation of final accounts. He developed accounting policy manual and implemented systems for preparing accurate financial reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He also worked as the Head of Research, Business Intelligence and Pricing, Product Development Manager, Corporate Planning and Financial Analyst for Opportunity International Savings & Loans where he was largely responsible for developing microfinance products & project proposals to source funds from Donors and strategic investors. He won the Top Talent Star Award in Microfinance  within the Opportunity International Savings & Loans Group in African in 2009.

He has also worked with First Atlantic Bank in several positions such as Senior Accounts Officer, Credit Risk Manager, Dealer in the Treasury Department in charge of risk management, Business Development Officer, and Manager for Research & Strategic Planning as well as a Special Assistant to the Managing Director of the Bank.

He worked as the Project Coordinator for the World Bank Rural Enterprise Project between 1998 and 2002 where he collated and analyzed data and conducted feasibility studies and impact assessment on Rural Enterprise Projects in the Bono and Ashanti Regions.

As a consultant for Banks and Allied Institutions, he has also been instrumental in helping most banks, rural banks and Savings & Loans Companies to develop products, craft BOG feasibility reports to acquire licenses, to develop branch expansion strategy, conduct market research, mystery shopping, incentive schemes, credit appraisal and financial modelling. He has also trained a number of banks in credit management, financial management, budgeting, fraud prevention and control, balanced scorecards as well as developed an internal audit tool for internal auditors to identify and mitigate risks early for the appropriate corrective action to be undertaken to remedy the situation.

He has a wide international exposure in commercial  banking, rural banking and microfinance. He has undergone attachments and received training from the major international banks such as Ghana International Bank (London), Citigroup (London), Crown Agents Bank, (London), ING Bank (Holland), Opportunity Finance (South Africa) etc where he learnt the practical aspects of banking such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Internal Controls and Risk Management, International Trade, Business Development, Credit Risk Management, Strategic Planning, Anti-Money Laundering, Project Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Modeling, Research & Strategic Planning and Financial Management, Market Research and Product Development, Operations Management, Social Impact Assessment, Financial Inclusion and Poverty Alleviation, etc. He also attended the World Marketing Master Class Conference held at Durban, (South Africa in 2008) where he received practical training in marketing plan development, product development, market research  and  how to craft business strategy.

He also had the related opportunity to share his experiences on best practices in microfinance operations with a number of countries in Africa within the Opportunity International Group in Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Malawi and Zambia particularly in corporate budgeting, quantitative incentive and bonus schemes, strategic market positioning, credit risk management and deposit mobilization to enable them fully exploit the microfinance opportunities in their respective countries.

At the local front, he has been trained by the University of Ghana Centre for Research & Professional Development and Institute for Social, Statistical and Economic Research (ISSER) in Market Research and Financial Modelling, Impact Assessment and Data Analysis.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Banking and Finance  Option) from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon, an MBA in Finance from Wisconsin International University College, Ghana. He is a Member of the Ghana Chartered Institute of Bankers. He is also a Member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants, UK. He is pursuing his PhD in Economics from the Nobel International Business School, Ghana/GIMPA on the topic’ impact of  fiscal discipline on job creation’ and is awaiting graduation in November 21, 2021.

3.Emmanuel Agyei Prempeh Gyan- Director for Marketing

Emmanuel Agyei Prempeh Gyan is currently the Director of Marketing of The HRBIC Ltd. With a background in Consumer Science at the University of Ghana, Emmanuel has in the past led teams of researchers to study savings and Investment practices of students and communities. His interest in the areas of investment and business led him to be an entrepreneur and founder of SNAPDEK INTERNATIONAL, a general consulting firm involved in raising funds to support growth and development of small and medium scale enterprises in Ghana and construction activities. He is instrumental in spearheading Bitcoin Projects and has been handling both online and offline investments since 2011. He is well versed in network marketing and has supported various companies in Accra to do pitching for fund raising. He is a guru in digital trading  has been a Crypto Currency entrepreneur and a Block Chain Technology Consultant since 2014 and has provided these services for more than four crypto currency trading firms. He is currently the consultant of ECP Ecryptopay Company Limited (a Crypto Currency trading, exchange, education and investment company.

He has 5 years wealth of experience in the real estate and the gold trading industries. Prior to this, Emmanuel was providing gold trading services for Creative Consult, a gold trading company in Ghana and some other gold trading companies in West Africa sub-Region. He holds a Degree in Consumer Sciences from the University of Ghana, Legon

4.Eugene Onassis- Head of Projects

Eugene is the Head of Projects at Creative Research and Business Solutions. He is a Lecturer of University of Professional Studies from 2014 to date, Legon in charge of Corporate Finance, Quantitative Methods and Financial Management. He has extensive working experience in the areas of Management, Business Development, Credit Risk Management, Project Management, Strategy and Administration etc. Prior to his appointment as a lecturer,  he was the Manager of Operations at the Guaranty Trust Bank between 2011 to 2013 largely responsible for managing ATM transactions, customers account opening, transfers, tells management, Accounts reconciliation cash management and ensuring customer compliance with the Anti–Money Laundering Act. He equally worked with Guarantee Trust Bank between 2008 and 2011 as the Head, Branch Transactional Services, checking customer account balances and advising on overdraft requirements, commission on turnover and customer relationship management. He was instrumental in developing a branch expansion strategy founded on solid credit administration and focused deposit mobilization drive for the bank.

He also worked as the Senior Accounts Officer for Allied Oil Company Limited from 2005 to 2008 in charge of bank reconciliations, daily entries, preparing financial and management accounts, running fixed Asset Register of the company, running payroll and handled the company’s deposits and investments. He was also in charge of day-to-day entries, payroll accounting, Taxation, (VAT, PAYE) SSNIT returns, preparing Management Accounts and Final Accounts. He has designed and implemented training programmes for banks, microfinance institutions and corporate bodies in corporate governance, risk management, relationship management, business development and market research.

Eugene similarly worked with the University of Ghana Business between 2002 to 2004 as a teaching assistant, helping students to write their long essays, offering lectures and tutorials support to students in financial management, quantitative methods and business finance. Over the past five years he has taken a giant step to mentor and coach tertiary students on how to write their long essays. He has practical knowledge in mortgage financing and develops models for operators in the real estate sector to effectively and efficiently manage their funds. He is also versed in Project Management managing banks, oils and gas and Microfinance Institutions.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration (Banking & Finance) and MBA Finance from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon, Part III of ACCA, a Certificate from the Ghana Stock Exchange and is currently pursuing a PhD in Finance From the Nobel International Business School, Ghana.

5.George Grey -Accountant

He is a team member of Creative Research and Business Solutions. He is an accountant by profession with over five years of experience in preparing financial reports in the agricultural and microfinance sectors. He has lot of experience in NGO financial administration. He is an accountant by profession with over 15 years of experience in diverse fields. He worked with Complex Accounting Firm where he  largely responsible for financial management, audit, budgeting ,formulation of policies and development of accounting systems, preparation of annual accounts for external auditors, management reports, among others. He has equally worked with Miller & Associates (Chartered Accountants) as associate partner in charge of Auditing taxation, and consultancy services. He holds a Degree in Accounting from the Methodist University, an MBA from the Wisconsin International University College and is a Member of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA).

6.Christian Dormedzui -Head of Research

Christian works with Creative Research and Business Solutions. He worked previously as the Research, Data and Clients Relationship Officer at PR GROUP; a business conglomerate of Pr Capital, PR Consulting, Pr Training And Developments, Dreams Aloe Vera, Easyline Industrial Services and Anelin Mogens Investment Ltd. As Data and Research Officer; he works directly with the group C.E.O and liaises with all relevant corporate business units to gather required data for business analysis.

He worked as a coordinator for the First African Infrastructure Development Partnership (PPP) Convention, Zurich-Switzerland where Pr Group was a country counterpart for DAYO Switzerland He was a Research and Data officer for Private Enterprise Federation-Ghana on Nationwide Financial Literacy Seminars for Financial Institutions and business entrepreneurs in four enclave zones namely Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale: a  Konrad Adenuer Stifftung Foundation sponsored project which led to the development of a financial catalogue which harmonized the financial instruments and mechanisms used by over 20 signatory and participating banks, 25 Insurance Companies and 11 Donor and Developments Partners in Ghana. Prior to that, he has also worked with as an Online, Clients and Media Liaison Officer where he was responsible for harmonizing and ensuring competitive pricing and industry survey. He has also worked with Fan milk GH Ltd as a Production Assistant.

He worked with Network Broadcasting Company. Christian also worked with EZI Savings and Loans although for a limited period. Also, he  worked with an Accra based Radio Station VIBE FM now LIVE FM as a producer for a show called Business Vibe. Christian is a writer with periodic opinion publication on current economic issues such as the Eurozone Crises, ECOWAS Regional Currency and recently on DKM financial insolvency on leading online portal like myjoyonline. At Ministry of Communications, he worked as Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation officer. Christian is well-informed in Banking, Finance, Guarantees, Treasuries, Corporate Communication, Business Strategy and Marketing. He also works with Advantage Platinum; an integrated Business Solutions and Technology syndicate on demand. Christian holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Ghana, Diploma in E-Business, Business and Enterprise Skills from ALISON-UK and is currently pursuing a Professional Banking Associateship Examination (Part2).

7.Bernard Bright-Davies-Head of Business Development

He is a team member of Creative Research and Business Solutions and the Head of Business Development. Bright-Davies previously worked in investment banking and commercial banking for 18 years with First Atlantic Bank Ltd – one of Ghana’s leading banks – and its subsidiary, First Atlantic Brokers Ltd. During this time he worked as a Branch Manager in charge of planning and developing strategies for effective marketing of the bank’s products, creating profitable risk assets and selling loans to customers; a manager in charge of structured finance, venture capital, restructuring, treasury and fund management; a licensed dealer at the Ghana Stock Exchange; and Manager for Private Banking responsible for wealth management for high net-worth individuals. He later on became the Suame Branch Manager, Kumasi. Bright-Davies holds an MBA (Finance Option) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Ghana.
